John Giannasca, owner and founder of Seeboard Products LLC, has owned boats since he was 14 years old. That first boat, a 14’ Sportcraft, his current boat, a 289 Intrepid, and every boat in between had one thing in common: an uncomfortable position at the helm that limited visibility.
"While searching the market for my Intrepid, I looked at more than a hundred boats, and all of them must have been designed by tall people. I'm 5’ 8" and standing on the footrest makes an enjoyable activity very uncomfortable. And I'm not alone. Many famous boaters stand under 6’ tall: Horatio Nelson, John Paul Jones, Popeye. I thought that maybe us shorter folks may want a better view without being uncomfortable. So I decided to do something about this age-old problem."
Seeboards give boaters the ability to comfortably sit or stand at the best elevation when piloting any boat under any speed or sea conditions. Even boaters taller than 6’ can benefit from Seeboards. Don't take my word for it, see for yourself!
